Getting Started with Pine64's Oz64 eSBC: A Compact and Affordable RISC-V Board
04 Introduction: Introduction of the Pine64 Oz64, a credit card-sized eSBC based on the SG2000, featuring a dual-core RISC-V processor.
12 Lack of Documentation: Highlighting the absence of official documentation for the Oz64.
52 PCBWay Sponsorship: Acknowledgment of PCBWay's sponsorship and a showcase of their PCB manufacturing, 3D printing, and CNC machining services.
35 Oz64 Overview: Unboxing the Oz64 and highlighting its compact form factor, comparing it to the Ox64 and the Milk-V Duo module.
33 Design Choices: Discussion of Oz64's design choices, including the DC power jack, the lack of an LCD connector despite having an LCD interface, external Ethernet magnetics, the need for an external Wi-Fi antenna, a single USB 2.0 host port, and standard camera interfaces.
48 Storage Options: Speculation that the eMMC, SD card, and SPI flash likely share a single SPI 3.0 interface.
00 Documentation Issues: Reviewing the limited documentation available on both the Pine64.org and Pine64.com websites, with only basic information and links to community-developed resources.
18 Fishwaldo's Debian Image: Mentioning the use of Fishwaldo's Debian image for the SG2000 to get started with the Oz64.
58 Booting to RISC-V: Demonstration of booting the Oz64 with no storage media and highlighting the "SCS" indicator signifying booting to the RISC-V core.
32 Booting from SD Card: Showing the Oz64 booting from the SD card with Fishwaldo's Debian image.
34 Exploring the Debian Environment: Basic exploration of the Debian environment, including kernel version, available RAM, storage usage, and CPU information.
38 Missing Wi-Fi Driver: Discovering that the Wi-Fi driver is missing in Fishwaldo's Debian image.
44 Booting Milk-V Duo Image: Attempting to boot the Milk-V Duo image on the Oz64.
17 Wi-Fi Configuration Issues: Encountering difficulties configuring Wi-Fi with the Milk-V Duo image.
14 Power Consumption: Measuring the Oz64's idle power consumption at approximately 140 milliamps.
10 Conclusion: Expressing frustration with Pine64's lack of information, recommending the Oz64 for its form factor and potential, and promising further experimentation.
28 Call to Action: Encouraging viewers to support Fishwaldo's work and PCBWay, like and subscribe, and leave comments.
